Miranda has called SkateQuest her home rink since she first began skating at the age of two. During her 19 years of skating experience, she skated as a member of the Washington Figure Skating Club and was a South Atlantic Regional medalist. She has completed her Intermediate Freestyle test and is a Gold Medalist in Moves in the Field. Miranda is currently a member of the PSA, WFSC, and USFS. She has now been coaching for 4 years and enjoys sharing her knowledge and love for skating with her students. She is available to teach both group and private lessons and is available to take students to test sessions and non-qualifying competitions.
Traci is a Professional Skaters Association (PSA) rated coach with a Level VII Ranking having trained skaters from beginners to National, International, Junior Grand Prix, Junior Grand Prix Final, Grand Prix, Junior World and World level competition. Fourteen skaters, coached by Traci, have qualified for Nationals and won nine medals and five championships to date. She has coached seven International skaters representing the U.S. and three other countries. Traci has received the prestigious Developmental Coach of the Year Award. She enjoys developing young skaters to their fullest potential. In addition, Traci holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kansas.
Cherie has been coaching full time since 1990 and has been at SkateQuest since opening. She holds two PSA Master level ratings and is a Certified Moves coach. Many current private lesson students have been with her over 6 years and remain motivated through clear guidance, positive feedback and fun opportunities. Students choose to (1) skate for fun and good health, (2) take USFS tests, and/or (3) participate in ice shows and competitions. Her specialties are: fundamentals, choreography, moves-in-the-field and freestyle. She is a professional member of USA Gymnastics, PSA, US Figure Skating, and the WFSC.
Carissa Green Tambaschi
Carissa has 14 years of coaching experience in all levels. She has USFS and CFSA gold medals in Ice Dancing, Novice Freestyle Test and Fourth Figure Tests. Carissa is currently a US national, international, junior national, sectional and regional coach. Carissa is a full time member of PSA, USFS and has her coaching education requirements for Category A. She plays a large roll choreographing international singles and ice dance skaters. Carissa’s strengths include choreography, moves in the field, ice dancing, freestyle, off-ice stretch classes, group lessons, and coaching adults. She is excited to help each student achieve their goals by helping them have fun while pursuing their dreams in ice skating.
Coach Lana is a proud mother of 2 and has been instructing students at Skatequest for 6 years.
She began skating in her early teens and has accumulated over 20 years skating experience. While having been trained herself by the industry's finest, Lana shares that knowledge and love of sport with her own students. Over the years, Lana has coached countless children and adults toward their personal goals with a strong focus on positive reinforcement, self-confidence and enjoyment in sport. She has been a continuous member of USFSA, WFSC and PSA, through which she continues her certification and education. Lana calls it a privilege to do for a living what she loves.
Linda coaches all levels of power skating, from first-time skaters to college hockey players, and all ages, from pre-school to adult. She is a USFS double gold medalist in Figures and Freestyle and spent her summers training in Lake Placid, NY. Most of her instruction is private or semi-private lessons but she works with teams and clubs as well. Her students include players selected in the OHL Draft and the USHL Futures Draft, prep school and college club players, USA Hockey Festival Camp attendees, and NCAA division I and III players. Coaching has been Linda's passion for 37 years. For the past 20 years she has focused primarily on power skating, geared specifically to the needs of hockey players. Linda holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from George Mason University.
He is the 1991 Russian National Silver medalist and the 1992 Cup of Russia Men's Gold medalist. He was a principal skater for Disney on Ice. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education. He is a Junior Worlds, International, National, Sectional and Junior National level coach. He is available to teach all levels. He is a member of USFS, PSA and ISI.
Ross Lansel started skating at the age of three in British Columbia. He started playing hockey and was then introduced to figure skating at the age of six. As a hockey player he won a provincial title. As a figure skater, Ross was a provincial gold medalist (equivalent to South Atlantics Regional), a national competitor, and a principal Disney on Ice skater. Ross has a passion for coaching and has excelled at it, coaching Olympic, international, and national competitors. He was one of four coaches that started an elite seminar group, Grassroots To Champions (G2C). With G2C, he traveled all over the United States and Canada to conduct seminars. After G2C, Ross created a new seminar series, HOP, with two other coaches. Ross has an excitement for coaching and is looking forward to helping all skaters at every level achieve their goals. Ross specializes in choreography, pole work, and technical aspects of skating.
She is a 2 time Olympic, 10 time World and many times International competitor. She was a Gold Medalist at the ISU Grand Prix of NHK Trophy, Grand Prix Final and 4 Continents. She has 30 years skating experience and 12 years teaching experience. She is a U.S. Junior National and International level coach. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education. She is available to teach all levels and ages. She is a member of USFS, PSA and ISI.
Born and raised in Canada, she moved to the USA in 2006. A former nationally ranked Synchronized skater for over 15 years who retired after the birth of her twins. She is the mother of 4 children & teaches skating from 2 thru adult. She holds 1 bronze medal as well as 2 silver medals from the Canadian National Synchronized skating championships & USA National Synchronized skating championships. She is a CFSA Senior silver ice dancer who is available to teach basic skills through Freestyle, hockey drills, prelim dances/moves, choreography & off-ice . She teaches both group/private lessons and is a member of the PSA and WFSC. She enjoys working with tots, adults, group lesson skaters, and specializes in special needs skaters. Her focus is to help each student achieve their skating goals by giving them the solid basic skating fundamentals that will assist them in whatever skating discipline they choose. She is currently working on achieving her PSA coach ratings.
Jennifer is a USFSA, PSA, and ISI member currently preparing to take her Gold Ice Dance Test. She graduated from The George Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music and is a former elementary school teacher. She especially loves working with preschool through elementary age skaters. She teaches Basic Skills, Freestyle, Choreography, and Hockey as a group and private lesson coach.
She is a Russian National Junior Pairs champion, Junior Worlds Bronze Medalist, International competitor, and a member of a Russian National team for six years. She was a principal skater with Disney on Ice, Moscow on Ice, and Russian All Stars. She has 12 years of teaching experience and has worked with National, International, World and Olympic skaters. She specializes in Freestyle, Pairs, and Moves in the Field.
She is a USFS Gold Medalist in both Freestyle and Moves in the Field. She is a member of the PSA, USFS and an ISI Gold judge. As a competitive skater, Megan was a South Atlantic Regional medalist and Eastern Sectional competitor. She graduated from George Mason University with a B.S. in Psychology and a Minor in Dance. She is available to teach all levels of Freestyle and Moves in the Field, as well as off-ice training and choreography.
She is a U.S. and Canadian Gold Medalist in Figures, Freestyle, and Dance. She trained at Lake Placid Olympic center and is a Junior Nationals coach. She teaches all ages competitively and recreationally in Freestyle, Moves in the Field and Basic Skills. She is a member of the USFS, PSA, and WFSC.
She is a Double Gold Medalist in Freestyle and Moves in the Field. She competed numerous times at the higher levels at Eastern Sectionals by qualifying through South Atlantic Regionals. She competed at every level in the USFS competitive structure. She is a graduate of George Mason University with a B.A. in English and a focus in creative writing. She has a long history at SkateQuest, as this was her home rink during her 13 years of competitive skating.
Vasiliy was a U.S. Nationals,European and World Championships skater, earned title of Latvian National Champion. He has almost two decades of coaching, he is Master rated by Professional Skaters Association. He is a U.S. National and Sectional level coach and specializes in Moves in the Field, Powerskating and Choreography.
Erin is a USFS Triple Gold Medalist in ice dance, freestyle, and moves in the field. She began skating when she was four and went on to compete in the preliminary through senior levels. She toured worldwide with Disney On Ice for five years in the productions of "Beauty and the Beast," "Finding Nemo," and "Princess Classics," skating in a variety of ensemble, character, and principal understudy roles. Erin graduated from Columbia University in the City of New York with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. She is a member of USFS and PSA, and is available to teach group and private lessons in all levels of ice dance, freestyle, and moves in the field.
He is a 2 time Olympic, 7 time World, and many times International competitor. He has 13 years teaching experience and has worked with National, International, World and Olympic skaters. He is a U.S. Junior National and Sectional level coach. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education. He is available to teach all ages and levels in Figure Skating and Power Skating.
She won the National and International Synchronized Skating title with her Miami University of Ohio Synchronized skating team. She was ranked 9th as a member of the US Figure Skating World team. She has been the coach of the Capitol Steps for 4 years, and has taught private lessons in Moves, Dance, Freestyle, and Stroking for 2.5 years. She is a USFS Gold Medalist in Dance, Free Dance, and Moves in the Field. She is a member of the PSA and USFS.
Romanian National Champion. Balkan Champion. World, European, International competitor and medallist, for over 10 years. Member of Romanian Olympic Team, member of Romanian National Team for 14 years. Over 10 years of coaching experience with multiple success stories. Specializes in Freestyle figure skating, jump & spin, stroking, off-ice conditioning classes, and choreography. Excellent with children. Ability to recognize talent from a very young age, and taking kids to higher levels. In short, as he himself humbly puts it: “ He’s GOOD!”
She graduated from the Kiev University of Physical Education and Sport with a degree in Figure Skating. After graduating, she was a principal skater in the Ukraine Ballet on Ice, Cypress Gardens Ice Skating Show, Seattle Ice Theater, Magic on Ice, and Wheeler Productions. She is available to teach private lessons in Freestyle and Moves in the Field.
She is a triple-gold medalist in Dance, Free dance, and Moves in the Field. She is a two-time Adult National Gold Medalist and continues to compete at national and international events. She has 12 years teaching experience and is available to teach all ages in Dance, Freestyle, and Moves in the Field.
