Whether you want to learn to skate, play hockey or figure skate, SkateQuest is the place to start! Designed for ages 3 through adult, the SkateQuest group lesson program will advance a skater to competitive levels. We offer beginning through advanced levels year round.  Class sizes are limited to no more than 10 students per class.

Classes for Beginner Skaters

Basic 1 (For ages 6 and above) Designed for children who have never skated or have never had any formal lessons. Skaters will learn the proper way to fall down and get up. Skaters will also learn the following: marching in place, moving, pushing, and gliding, 2 foot hop, dips, forward swizzles, backward wiggles, short 1 foot glides, and an introduction to the snowplow stop.

Snowplow Sam 1 (For ages 3 to 5) Designed for children who have never skated.  Skaters will learn the proper way to fall down and get up. Skaters will also learn standing and marching.

All classes are a half hour and include skate rental and practice passes to be used during basic skills or public practice sessions.

What to Wear

All students should wear a jacket, gloves, and long pants (no jeans). Layers are always recommended as the rink is very cold. Helmets are recommended for anyone participating in Basic 1 or 2 and any of the Snowplow Sam classes.

First Day of Class

Arrive 15 minutes early.
Pick-up skates at Skate Rental.
Pick-up Basic Skills Pass at the Front Desk (one pass per student; pass is good for unlimited Basic Skills sessions during enrolled series ).

September 3 – October 20. Cost $140.

October 22 – December 22. Cost $160.

 

Broadway on Ice

April 27th – June 14th

The Broadway on Ice program is open to skaters of all levels.  Skaters will perform in groups to music from some of the most popular musicals to appear on Broadway! More information here.

 

Policies

REFUND POLICY: There are no refunds. There are no credits. Upon signing up, if you know that you will miss classes in the series, you may pro-rate over the phone or in-person. You must, however, submit the dates of absence at the time of registration.

MAKE-UPS: Due to the number of skaters involved in the program, there are no make-ups.

on our website 2 hours before classes are scheduled to begin.
